Medical Assistant Students Graduate

On Tuesday evening, January 22, the Adult Division of Sussex Technical School District held a graduation ceremony for students completing the Medical Assistant Clinical Program. Eleven students completed the 303-hour course and are now eligible to sit for their national certification exam through the National Healthcareers Association. Upon completing the national certification exam, these students will be recognized with national certification, which will acknowledge their skill and competency in the Medical Assistant field.

Take a Class in Conversational Spanish

Sussex Tech Adult Division is offering a self-improvement course in Conversational Spanish. This course will launch you into the world of speaking Spanish.
During the 35-hour course, students will practice proper pronunciation of commonly used words and phrases in class. They will also engage in role-playing for travel, social, and business situations.
Class begins January 28 and meets on Monday nights through May 13 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Sussex Technical High School, County Seat Highway (Rt. 9), five miles west of Georgetown. The cost of the course is $140, which includes a book, a workbook, and a practice CD.

Sussex Tech Adult Education Division Teaching Opportunities

Do you have prior teaching experience or specialized training that you would like to share with others? If so, Sussex Tech Adult Division would like to hear from you. Due to expanding enrollment and increased offerings, Sussex Tech Adult Education Division is currently recruiting for a number of part-time adjunct faculty positions in its Adult Division. These positions pay a highly competitive wage and typically work approximately six hours per week in the evenings.
Currently, Sussex Tech Adult Division is looking for candidates to teach the following areas:
• Medical Assistant - Clinical
• Pharmacy Technician
• James H. Groves Adult High School (Instructors should have adult education certification and/or high school certification in a particular subject area or special education.)
Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma plus have a current license and/or credential in the area they wish to teach. Prior work experience and teaching experience is preferred.
