Sophomore Keeps Busy and Creative

Chelsea Lee

Sophomore Chelsea Lee is the first Sussex Technical High School student to be named a state representative of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). The Delaware HOSA Management Team awarded Chelsea a position as Courtesy Corp member for the 2013-2014 school year. She will have the opportunity to participate in the Fall Leadership Conference as well as assist in planning the 2014 State Leadership Conference and several other charitable organizations.

In Chelsea’s economics class, she entered a contest that required her to create a video with the theme, Economic Value is Subjective. The contest was sponsored by Fayetteville State University’s Hackley Endowment for the Study of Capitalism and Free Enterprise. One Fayetteville professor once said, “One of the problems for economists is that critics of markets have so many catchy folk songs, but economists don’t have any.” Hence, the video contest was conceived.

Videos are judged on quality and number of views and likes on YouTube. To view Chelsea’s video, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVNBIAIRmMQ
