In observance of Hospital Nurses Week, Beebe Medical Center recently sponsored a high school essay contest answering the question “Why I am Interested in Health Care.” Students in the Health Professions technical area at Sussex Technical High School wrote their thoughts and desires in answer to the question to gain extra credit in their class. Junior Cuartney Tingle of Laurel wrote the winning essay that was read during Beebe Medical Center’s first annual Nursing Excellence Awards Ceremony.
