The Delaware Volunteer Credit is awarded to students in grades 9-12 who have performed 90 hours of volunteer community service outside the school day in a community service organization that is not advocacy or political in nature. A supervisor of the organization and a school official has verified these service hours. One elective credit will be added to the student’s transcript. College admissions counselors look favorably at this credit.

Several students at Sussex Technical High School have met the criteria for volunteer community service and have been awarded their one elective credit.
