An Overview of the Sussex Technical School District
 
The Sussex Technical School District is comprised of Sussex Technical High School and the Sussex Tech Adult Division. The high school currently serves over 1,100 students and has been recognized by the United States Department of Education as a "National School of Excellence" and one of "The Original Ten New American High Schools". The nationally recognized Adult Division works with the state to assess the training needs of business, government, and community-based organizations for the purpose of designing, developing, and delivering education and training programs. Over the past decade, the Sussex Tech Adult Division has served over 40,000 adults.
 
The Mission of the Sussex Technical School District
 
The mission of the Sussex Technical School District is to provide an individually oriented techademic education that builds a sense of pride, success and self-esteem through excellence. This enables each high school and adult division student to become a responsible and productive member of society.
 
The Goals of the Sussex Technical School District
 
  • Educational programs will be provided so that all students meet challenging techademicstandards.
  • Training needs of business, government and community-based organizations will be assessed and education and training programs designed, developed, and delivered to meet assessed needs.
  • State-of-the-art technology will be promoted for staff and students in all areas of curriculum.
  • District facilities and grounds will support and enhance the mission and goals for Secondary and Adult Programs.
  • Shared decision making and input will be utilized.
