U.S. Sen. Carper Visits to See Security System |

Carper In discussion with the Senator, Security Guard Jack Roach explained that it is his job to monitor the cameras throughout the day and be on the look out for any unusual activity. A new office booth has been erected at the front door lobby of the school from where Mr. Roach greets all visitors, issues them passes, and directs them to the requested area. All guests must now also sign out when they leave the building.“We have received positive feedback from parents about the new security guard,” explained Principal Curt Bunting. “They like being able to see a visible sign that we are doing all we can to keep their children safe.” “In this age of violence, we can’t do enough to keep our schools safe,” agreed Sen. Carper as he was signing out from his visit at Sussex Tech. “It is good to know that schools like Sussex Tech are constantly monitoring their situations and taking steps to protect our children.”
