The James H. Groves Adult High School held its 52nd Annual Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Delmarva Christian High School. U.S. Congressman John Carney was the evening’s Commencement Speaker. The James H. Groves High School in Sussex County is administered by the Sussex Technical School District.

In his remarks to the graduates, Congressman Carney congratulated them on completing their long journey culminating in the receipt of their high school diplomas. Congressman Carney went on to say that this was just one step in the journey and new challenges lie ahead for each graduate but tonight’s accomplishment demonstrates each student is up for the challenge. “Delaware needs you, the world needs you”, said Carney as he extolled each student to continue on the successful path they have followed leading to receipt of their high school diploma.
