Sussex Technical High School has a vibrant student activities scene, centered around more than 25 different clubs and organizations – some extra-curricular and some co-curricular, tied to academic or technical subjects.
Bella Voce Chorus – Sarah Rose, advisor.
Bowling Club – Chris Aiken, advisor. Meets Thursdays, 3:15 – 4:30. Students learn to throw strikes and spares while having fun at Millsboro Lanes.
BPA – Business Professionals of America – Frank Makray, Andy Feightner, Sabrina Neal, advisors. Focuses on leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills.
Communication Club – Gary Conway, advisor. Meeting times vary. Students livestream Sussex Tech sporting events.
DECA – Distributive Education Clubs of America – Kimberly Thomas and Sherri Smith, advisors. Meeting times vary. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
Drama Club – Anthony Natoli, advisor. Meets Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 3:30 – 5:30. Students participate in every aspect of the theatrical process.
Ducks Unlimited – Anthony Carmen, advisor. Meets Wednesdays, 3:15 – 4:35.
Educators Rising – Beth Bendistis, Sandy Furbush, Debbie Long, advisors. Students compete in events relevant to education, and in community service events.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes – Dona Troyer advisor. Meets Wednesdays, 8:10 – 8:25.
FFA – Future Farmers of America – G.L. Jefferson, advisor. Meets monthly. Students learn about agricultural education that prepares them for leadership, personal growth, and career success.
Film Club – Carle Kling, advisor. Meets Thursdays, 3:30 – 5:45. Students write and produce short films.

Jefferson Awards Students in Action – Margie Booth and Nancy Massaro, advisors. Meets Tuesdays, 8 – 8:30. Empowers young people to think big, choose a public service passion, and engage their school in the broader community.
Key Club – Dona Troyer, advisor. Meets monthly. Students provide service, build character, and develop leadership skills.
Math League – Dennis Redington, advisor. Meets monthly.
Mock Trial – Deangelo Eley and Steve Rust, advisors. Students will learn how to be an active participant in the criminal justice field.
National Honor Society / National Technical Honor Society – Jean Johnson, Nancy Massaro, and Sabrina Neal, advisors. Meets monthly. Students uphold good standing in scholarship, citizenship, and community awareness. Must maintain a 93% average.
Poetry Club – Jinni Forcucci, advisor. Meets Thursdays, 3:15.
Science Olympiad – Dennis Redington and Brian Boulden, advisors. Meets online. Students compete in small groups covering 25 different science topics.
