BFM 11 Students Kira Short and Clarice Pamplona became a Diamond Challenge Semi-Finalist for their Social Venture Concept – Frisson. They are one step away from making the Finals Competition being held in April at the University of Delaware. They are required to conceive, test, and pitch an idea for a new social venture (Frisson) that can solve a societal or environmental problem. Mr. Makray is their advisor who is guiding them through the process. Wish Them LUCK when you see them and everybody in this school may have an opportunity to vote on their behalf.
You’ve been patient, and the results are in!
Our judges had the VERY difficult task of reviewing your concepts and selecting the top 10 teams. We wanted to let you know first, the teams that will be moving on to the semi-final round: an online voting portal where the public helps to weigh in on the best concepts. You’re truly all winners and we admire you for opening your hearts and minds to VENTURE FOR GOOD! And now for the ten semi-finalist teams (in no particular order):
- Frisson (Clarice Pamplona and Kira Short) – Sussex Technical HS
- STEM Day
- Gain Interest
- Do it for Bunica
More details about each of these concepts will be shared with everyone as the public voting opens. Details for how to vote will be shared with all Diamond Challenge participants and friends later this week as well, where we can all join in on selecting the teams you think should move on to the final round in Delaware.
