Sussex Tech Students Shine at National SkillsUSA Competition

From June 19th through June 23rd, Sussex Tech students competed at the National SkillsUSA competition in Louisville, Kentucky. Fourteen students placed in the top 10 in the nation in their respective events. Highlighting the competition for Sussex Tech were Kate Bagshaw, who won silver in Advertising Design, and Chase Albright, Ryan Bradley, Sydney Gross, and Hanna Wolk, who teamed up to win bronze in Broadcast News Production. Below is a list of all Sussex Tech place winners and their competition category. Students were accompanied on the trip by Mr. Gary Conaway, Mr. Deangello Eley, and Mrs. Shelly Dykes. Sussex Tech is proud of all the amazing students for their hard work and dedication to excellence.

 

 

Kate Bagshaw- Advertising Design – 2nd Place – Silver

 

Chase Albright, Ryan Bradley, Sydney Gross, Hannah Wolk- Broadcast News Production – 3rd Place – Bronze

 

Coreye’ Ross-Customer Service – 4th Place

 

Daniel Elliott-Criminal Justice – 6th Place

 

Sam Furman- Technical Computer Applications – 9th Place

 

Gage Anemone, Spencer Czerwinski- Robotics & Automation Technology – 10th Place

 

Shyla Timmons- Nail Care – 18th place

 

India Jones, Aliyah Pierce, Dawn Strickland- Crime Scene Investigation – 19th place
